About Us
The ROC
Association
The ROC Association became an official organization in November 2008. The
formation of the ROC Association was catalyzed by the several factors. First,
Mason, MI and the surrounding communities do not have a well recognized, safe,
and available facility for community enhancing events and programs.
Second,
Mason First Church of the Nazarene has been working for several years to
provide such a facility to our community.
Third, while Mason First Church of the
Nazarene is well poised to meet the ever growing needs of the community, they
lack one key component, money.
With these things in mind, the ROC Association,
an independent, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, was formed to become a
fund raising entity to enable Mason First Church of the Nazarene to meet the
needs of our community. The ROC Association fully expects that as we grow, we
will gain the capacity to help and support other community organizations through
partnerships and collaborations.
Mission
The ROC Association is dedicated to serving the families of Mason, MI and the
surrounding communities. The ROC Association will receive and raise gift
dollars in support of programs that foster the development of a safe, strong,
and healthy community.
Purpose
The ROC Association receives, invests, manages and disburses funds in accordance
with the wishes of the donor in order to support, promote and finance the
mission and vision of The ROC Association.
The ROC
Association provides complete resource development and endowment management
services for all of the unique non-profit ROC Association subsidiaries and
affiliates.
