The R.O.C.
|
The R.O.C., or Recreational Outreach Center has
been a long standing dream of Mason First Church of the Nazarene. Now, together
with the ROC Association, it is going to become a reality. Over the last 10+
years, MFCN has been laying the groundwork for this project - assessing
the needs of our community, acquiring land, drawing plans, getting permits,
putting in place infrastructure, and raising money. Now, The ROC Association has
come on board with MFCN to move this project from a dream to a reality.
The facility will be located in Mason, MI at 1700 W. Dansville Road. Some
highlights in the plans for the The R.O.C. include a state of the art computing
facility, a health and wellness facility, basketlball/volley ball courts,
football and soccer fields, a baseball diamond, and several class rooms that
will be available to meet the ever-changing needs of this community. |

Once the facility is complete, The R.O.C. will offer several programs to the
community. Some of these programs are familiar such as Upwards Sports, Angel
Food Ministries, Meals on Wheels, and many are new programs that we are excited
to bring to the community. Some of these include tutoring services, safe
Saturday night alternatives for tweens, teens, and young adults, community
sports leagues, and The R.O.C. will be available for those in the community that
wish to bring programs to our community.
We have begun construction, so take a drive by 1700 W.
